- A myrtle tree still grows at the Hawthorne House in England that birthed a royal tradition. Queen Victoria started the tradition of clipping a sprig of its olive white flowers and include them in every royal wedding bouquet.
 - The royal wedding dress creation required workers to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine. The needles were renewed every three hours to keep them sharp and clean.
