Ageless
Love is not influenced by age, in the sense of growing old like our bodies or anything that wears out like clothing and engines in a car. Love is eternal. Love grows and deepens in the right environment, and it can die if neglected and mishandled. But does it really die; at best, it is misplaced, transferred, or hidden. Love can be rekindled.  When true love is found, handle it with care as if you just found a hidden treasure of high value.  Protect it from selfishness and assumptions that would produce oversight. Nurture love with kindness and accolades of praise. Learn to love and to  be loved freely. God's love is unconditional, and our true love for Him is expressed through our life and how we live it. We are here but a short time and then eternity. God is ageless and He is love. The gift of love was extended to us at Calvary. Embrace it in pure endearments of affectionate praise.

Spring Garden
My perennial garden has something blooming at all times through the growing season. As one is fading, another is budding ready to burst forth in all of its delight!!
Peonies are one of my favorites; I think because of the multitude of ruffled petals and soft gentle appearance~
The sweet fragrance of this rose bush permeates the air strongly, though its stalks are filled with very sharp thorns~~not sure of the correlation!
kissing the morning dew and soaking up the warm morning sun!
This yucca plant towers way above my head!

The King's Charge...1,2,3,4
I King 2:3,4 records the charge given to Solomon from the echoing bedchamber of David's last days before his departure from this life. Its echo has entered my hearing today in a charge to our young men.  First, let's step back in time for a moment and read the first two chapters of I Kings to get the picture of this significant event. Okay, now that you have read these two chapters, of which, I would suggest to read  in the KJV and the Amplified, let's go on.
Solomon's brother, Adonijah, for selfish, dark reasons positioned himself to be the new king while his father laid in his bedchamber with his life fading quickly. Without any awareness of Adonijah's secretive actions, God made provision for destiny to be secured through Nathan, the prophet. Words that David had already spoken proclaiming Solomon as his successor were set and not to be changed. David called for his right hand men to put forth into action immediately the corronation of Solomon. This would bring a halt to Adonijah's celebration as a self appointed king! When his banqueting friends and supporters heard the trumpet sounding its royal proclamation and being informed that Solomon sits on the royal throne, everyone scattered and caused Adonijah to fear for his life.
In Chapter 2, it begins with a charge from David to his son, Solomon, at a time when David's time to die was near. He charges Solomon to be strong and show himself a man. He continues by telling him to keep the charge of the Lord his God, to walk in His way and keep His commandments, precepts, and testimonies. In doing these things, he will possess godly wisdom and prosper in all that he does and where ever he would turn. This will fulfill God's promises~those things already set in heaven to also be set in earth. The charge continues beginning with an "if". God will never invade our will; He leaves the choice to us to decide. We all have that power of choice every single day. "If" your sons take heed to their way, to walk before the Lord in truth with all their heart, mind, and soul, there will always be power and authority upon the throne! Who sits upon the throne of your life today?
Adonijah represents the world/our flesh. The spirit of this world and its cunning philosophies, that are void of God, desire to reign in our life as king. Jesus is the only One appointed to that place of which is the very core of our existence. Our fallen nature, the weakness of our flesh, thrives on being pampered and elevated to a place of lordship. Trying everyday to self appoint itself upon the throne of our lives, our flesh tries to rob us of sweet fellowship with our King.
In closing, there is a hunger and thirst for bread in the land. As Christians, we must, and I say must, activate the Word of God Almighty in our hearts and thoughts like never before. All the distractions and superficial antics of this electronic age we live in demands us to set aside time every day to secure our King upon the thrones of our hearts. As the song goes sung many years ago, if the Lord isn't Lord over all the Kingdoms of our hearts, He isn't Lord at all.

Royal Tidbits~~
- A myrtle tree still grows at the Hawthorne House in England that birthed a royal tradition. Queen Victoria started the tradition of clipping a sprig of its olive white flowers and include them in every royal wedding bouquet.
 - The royal wedding dress creation required workers to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine. The needles were renewed every three hours to keep them sharp and clean.

| The Tapestry of My Life |
Between my Lord and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He works so steadily.
Oft times He weaves in sorrow
And I, in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper
And I, the underside.
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Will God unroll the tapestry
And explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needed
In the Weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

Commentary taken from Message Bible Intro to the Thessalonians~~
"The way we conceive the future sculpts the present, gives contour and tone to nearly every action and thought through the day. If our sense of future is weak, we live listlessly. Much emotional and mental illness and most suicides occur among men and women who feel that they "have no future." The Christian faith has always been characterized by a strong and focused sense of future, with belief in the Second Coming of Jesus as the most distinctive detail."~~~ "The practical effect of this belief is to charge each moment of the present with hope." ~~The Message Bible
